Phraseology as a subsystem of language

This article carries information about the subject of lexicological research, which includes not only words and morphemes, but also word-groups. These three lexical units compose the vocabulary of a language. All linguists agree that the word is the basic lexical unit. The smallest being a morpheme, the largest two-facet lexical unit consisting of more than one word is a word group, or a word combination.
