ABAY'S WORKS IN TURKIC LANGUAGES

It is known that the decree was adopted about the government resolution on the celebration of the 175th anniversary of AbayKunanbayev by the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. K. Tokayevon May 30, 2019; and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) have celebrated this in Kazakhstan and far and near abroad. The article provides an overview of the research of the works of the great thinker-poet of the Kazakh people Abay in foreign countries, including in all Turkic countries, and translation versions of his works. It is noted that this branch, which remained somewhat sluggish in the Soviet era; has recently revived, and there are a number of shortcomings too. Such topical issues as the consideration of Abay's personality and creativity in the general Turkic aspect, which has remained alive for centuries,and the importance of the historicity and commonality of humanitarian ties between the neighboring and Anatolian Turkic peoples are covered. Information about the translation works of Abay's work in Central Asian Turkic languages, as well as in Tatar-Bashkir, Azerbaijani and Turkish languages of various forms and content is provided.
