ON THE POETRIES WHICH REFERRED UYGHURS USING THE TERM “HU” DURING TANG DYNNASTY OF CHINA

It is informs by the famous Uyghur historian Turgun Almas that the terms “Hu” was used for Uyghurs during the Tang Dynesty of China. Poetry is the most important litery in the Tang Dynesty of China. Among these poetry there are many mention about Uyghur which wrote with the term “Hu” . In this context, it is seen that the personal image of Uyghurs, who is engaged in political poetry, who are in cultural communication, and who try to spread their religious beliefs, is mentioned. In addition to the activities related to politics, trade and music, Turks have deep traces on Chinese culture in terms of clothing. This information shows us that the Chinese borrowed not only music and dance art from Uyghurs, but also their clothing. In this study, it is tried to reveal the Chinese-Turkish relations based on the poems of Tang Dynasty of China.
