Abstract
The article is devoted to the discussion of the problem of determining the factors of individual differ- ences in children's emotion understanding. The main place is given to the analysis of various social factors of preschoolers' individual differences in emotion recognition and emotional awareness, such as: the children's involvement in family conversations about emotions, the quality both of mother-child relationships and child's relationships with other family members, the acceptance of the child by a peers group, the kindergarten teacher's reactions to children's emotional displays. The importance of social-cognitive and verbal abilities as internal factors of individual differences in emotion understanding by preschoolers is revealed
