V. Lypyns’kyi’s views on the hetman Pavlo Skoropads’kyi as a kind of monarchy

The article deals with the scientific and historical concept of Ukrainian state on the basis of the V. Lypynskyi’s Classocratic Monarchist Hetmanate, described in his book “Letters to the fellow farmers”. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of relationship between state, elites and society in the creation of the state led by the Monarch-Hetman, identify ideas and thinkers provisions that retain relevance in the development of modern Ukraine. The author found that some of his ideas with the theoretical value and application prospect in real life. In particular: the position of a strong executive power, the need for balance between individuals, society and the state, the role of elites (professionals, respected) in the state-building process.
