The legal status of social groups in Kievan Rus according to the Extensive edition of Russian Pravda

This article reveals the features of the legal status of social groups in Kievan Rus and social inequality as the basis on which the characteristic legal relations of this era in their originality develop. In the Extensive edition of Russian Pravda, the main aspects of relations between all strata of the population are regulated, and it is impossible to imagine an ancient Russian society without differentiation into free and unfree, boyars and slaves, purchases, smerds and many other social groups specified in Russian Pravda.
