Modern international relations of the countries of the world depend to a great extent on the challenges of globalization processes. International experience shows that globalization is not a unidirectional and unambiguous process, and has the potential to strengthen and weaken interconnections between countries and regions of the world. The article proposes the author's definition of the categories "economic Integration" and "economic disintegration", and the paradox of the interdependence and contradiction of these phenomena is determined.
