Abstract
The country's desire to increase economic activity in the transport and logistics vector causes rapid integration into the world community, the development of trade relations with other countries of the world, thereby creating favorable conditions for the free movement of services, capital, goods, and also labor across countries. Transport and logistics centers can be created at the borders of transport corridors, as well as when by using transport hubs to optimize and service the movement of cargoes within a particular region. The basic investigations in the sphere of creation and development of transport and logistics centers have been analyzed. The basic conditions for the creation of such centers have been highlighted, as well as foreign experience concerning their creation has been studied. The global competitiveness index of the world leading countries in 2019, the volume of transported cargoes to Ukraine by modes of transport during 2014-2019 (thousand tons) have been analyzed. The basic indicators of the development of transport infrastructure in the leading countries of the world in 2019 have been highlighted. The Top 10 economies of the world in terms of LPI in 2018 have been presented, as well as the dynamics of LPI in 2018 have been considered. The possibility of creating a transport and logistics center on the basis of a transport hub has been considered. The basic macroeconomic effects that the country receives from the creation of transport and logistics centers have been identified
