Abstract

The article considers the problem of professional competence of teachers of higher education in ensuring the quality of training of future specialists. Studying the issues related to the concepts of “competence” and “competence” in the scientific literature allowed the authors to define the professional competence of a teacher of higher education as a willingness to carry out their professional pedagogical activity, expressed in a competency-based approach and ensuring the quality of training of future specialists. The authors conducted a pedagogical study of students assessing the level of quality of their training and assessing the professional competence of teachers as a factor in ensuring the quality of training of students as future specialists.The study of the quality of training students as future specialists was carried out using questionnaires according to the following criteria: organization of the educational process; practical orientation of training; relevance of the subject of classes; correspondence of the duration of training to the objectives and content of the course; learning outcomes for everyone. Assessment of the professional competence of teachers was carried out by monitoring their teaching activities. For this purpose, the professional competencies of the teacher of higher education (general pedagogical, socio-psychological, informational and communicative) and indicators that are part of the structure of each competency were determined
