Abstract
This research paper aims to diagnose the reality of the agricultural sector, especially since the beginning of the third millennium. the results of study indicate that Algerian agricultural sector continues to suffer from food dependence abroad , despite the increase in the value added of the sector, they remain low compared to various other sectors, and the agricultural sector remains highly dependent on climatic conditions, in addition to not exploiting many fertile agricultural areas as a result of the known conflicts of the agricultural field with the weakness of agricultural technology Especially what is attached to the modern techniques of irrigation.
