Abstract
The building space is composed of a combination of building elements, the major space constituting the building has the required performance for each building element. Recently, various building materials have been developed and this made the choice of building materials wider. The importance of selecting building materials has also increased. The building meets the required performance through the composition of various materials. Therefore, in order to secure the required performance of the building, it is necessary to select building materials that can meet the required performance of the building elements. This study presented a model to support the decision-making of hands-on workers when selecting building materials used for major elements of buildings. This study analyzed the building element design composed of various materials in terms of performance and presented a model to select the optimal element design plan. The model presented in this study can reflect the required performance for the building elements in the design phase of selecting building materials.
