Abstract
The textile industry occupies a unique position as a self reliant industry, from the production of raw materials to the delivery of finished products with substantial value addition at each stage of processing. The industry passed through various ups and downs. The post independence period has not been very encouraging for the organized mill sector. A turnaround plan has to be implemented for the survival of the company. If a revival plan is successfully carried out there may be renewal of the company. The performance of NTC thereafter has been compared with the data of Alok Industries (One of the top ten textile companies in India).
