Abstract
Self-efficacy refers to individual judgment about one's ability. In the information age, the youth requires cognitive competencies to manage oneself in an effective manner and fulfil the demands of professional and occupational roles. Belief in one's efficacy can determine the path that people adopt and the choice that they make regarding the field they want to get into. This whole study revolves around the importance of self-efficacy and its impact on current academic performance and future job prospects. This research was conducted, through distribution of the questionnaires, amongst students of Business Management. The study after analysing different theories of self-efficacy, statistically investigated the role of Academic selfefficacy and career self- efficacy on academic performance in the context of educational setting. The findings suggest that Academic self- efficacy was a better predictor of academic score than Career self- efficacy
