Publications on history of book culture and manuscriptheritage of Akademperiodika publishing house of National Akademy of Sciences of Ukraine in cooperation with V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine

The purpose of the article is to review the publishing products of the Akadempe-riodyka publishing house, dedicated to the publication of scientific literature that reveals the unique historical and cultural funds of national academic libraries of the National Akademy of Sciences of Ukraine, characterization of specific features, content andauthorial composition of scientific and monographic publications. The research methodologyis based on the use of methods of bibliographic and source analysis of publishing products. The scientific novelty lies in the coverage of scientific products of the Akademperiodyka publishing house in the field of book historical and cultural heritageof Ukraine, which is published for the first time and significantly replenishes the source base of humanitarian research of this heritage. Conclusion. The Akademperiodykapublishing house paid special attention to the unique book, art, music collections ofscientific libraries, first published scientific and reference editions of European incuna-bula and paleotypes – “Aldina in the Libraries of Ukraine”: a catalog of publications ofthe 15th–16th centuries of the famous Italian printer, scientist and humanist Aldus Pius Manutiusand his descendants, which reveals the presence in Ukraine of the most valu-able European book heritage. Editions of copper engraving boards of Ukrainian printing houses of the 17th–19th centuries are dedicated to the Ukrainian book heritage. Published publications also contain catalogs of musical heritage of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko, Ukrainian film posters of 1947–1994, which reveals the contribution of Ukrainian artists to the art of film posters. All these publications publish the original scientific achievements of Ukrainian scientists in the field of attribution and classification of these historical and cultural sources, compiling the author`s scientific description, which reveals the origin and date of the object of description, author composition and compilers, content, history of creation and existence, affiliation to collections, etc. This is the historical context of the development of book culture. Monographic publications reveal unknown pages in the history of the development of bibliography in Ukraine, prominent representatives of Ukrainian culture. For the first time, a significant layer of new scientific information is brought into scientific circulation for a wide rangeof humanities, historians and culturologists, literary critics, art critics in the field of fine and musical arts, ethnology, as well as librarians and museum workers.
