Abstract
Forging dies design is a complex and tedious process, which needs skilled designers and more time and effort. This work aims to analyse the design elements and knowledge experience of designing the Hook's forging die by computer aided design technique, estimating knowledge bases such as hammer dimensions, hammer load, and flash dimensions by linking Solid works software to Visual basic programming language. This is an experimental design method. The obtained results indicated that the benefits of using the proposed system are saving time and effort, reducing mistakes caused by designers, and improving the quality of the design.
