Abstract
Solar energy has replaced the conventional sources on energy in many areas and has proved to be a renewable source also not harmful for the environment. Due to the large benefits silicon has been the material for choice for photovoltaic. MIS/SIS solar cells are also playing a key role for producing solar energy. In the present papers the characteristics of MIS/SIS polycrystalline silicon solar cells have been studied theoretically. The dependence of barrier height in silicon solar cell on various parameters for is also reported. The results are compared with the available experimental data.
