Abstract
Onshore wind farms, always constructed on vast and rugged areas. This characteristic is considered the major obstacle facing construction equipment such as excavators, concrete trucks, and mobile cranes. Therefore, this study is concerned with the selection of the shortest path this equipment should be used to reduce the cost of the access road grading as well as the arrival time to the wind turbines places. To achieve this goal, the genetic algorithms technique was used to formulate this problem. To test the accuracy of the proposed formulation, an example has been solved using MATLAB, and the obtained results were clarified.
