Abstract
The article provides a structural diagram and the principle of operation of a safety device for fixing and maintaining a working posture and protecting a worker during construction and installation work. The results of theoretical studies on the choice of the length of the additional rubber-fabric shock absorber are presented. The formula and calculation results are obtained in the form of graphic dependencies to substantiate the values of the tension force of the belay device sling. The problems of free oscillations of the worker when the safety device breaks are solved. On the basis of the numerical solution of the problem, expressions are obtained giving the definition of the law of free oscillations and the amplitude of oscillations. Oscillograms of free oscillations of the load obtained by the experiments using the strain gauge method are presented. The main parameters of the safety device have been substantiated.
