EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND JOB SATISFACTION OF EMPLOYEES AT COOPERATIVE BANKS IN CALICUT DISTRICT

Abstract
This article is based on the study conducted at cooperative banks in Calicut district to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction of it's workers. This study also determines the overall job satisfaction level of employees and their awareness of emotions and ability to manage the same. Descriptive research design is used in this study and from the population of 600 employees 100 were taken as sample. Data collected using Likert scale was analysed using statistical tool Karl Pearson's correlation. The result indicates that there is significant correlation between the emotional intelligence and the job satisfaction of cooperative bank employees.
