THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON THE U.S AND INDIAN CURRENCIES AND COMMODITIES MARKET

Abstract
This paper considers and dissects the effect of COVID-19 on FOREX market and Commodities market in India and the U.S. In this research paper the fundamental asset that will be analyzed under the FOREX market is U.S Dollar & India Rupee (USD/INR) and the primary asset that will be applied to analyze the Commodities market for both countries is Gold Futures under NYSE and Refined Gold under MCX. In the analysis portion of the paper, it is to be assumed that the two principal assets are the most common investment options by investors and traders. Under these circumstances, this paper aims to forecast the price movement and change in trend of the two underlying assets during the stressful U.S and Indian COVID-19 situation. The findings showed that, there is a significant relationship between the percentage change in the number of cases in U.S and the U.S Gold Futures & between the % change in the number of cases in India and the USD/INR rate.
