Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present an in-depth review of various interactions of product market competition such as innovation, firm performance, Capital structure and stock prices while focusing on the previous theoretical developments as well as recent literature. We follow systematic literature review (SLR) approach to review the selected articles. The articles pertaining to industry concentration and product market competition have been collected by searching the Scopus database. Selected articles have been carefully read and analysed while focusing on the various relationships and effects of product market competition. We find that PMC shows multifaceted and complex interactions. Research in the area of PMC is concentrated on single country context.
