Abstract

Lummer Dai is a prominent Assamese writer. He belongs from Adi tribes of Arunachal Pradesh, but he writings through Assamese language. He writes five novels. Except one, all the novels are based on folk life of Adi people. Their way of life, festivals, shifting cultivation, folk belief, traditional customs are underlying in his novel. His Mon aru Mon (Heart and Heart) novel not only described about traditional Adi life, but also written it from humanity perspective. A lonely lady and his pet's soul connection, tragic situation of life is narrated in the story. The novel given a great message to reader. Love and humanity is the most powerful things in the world. The research paper tries analysis Lummar Dai's novel from humanity view point.
