The objective of this study is to provide additional insights into the management of the ERP system by examining 12 factors within the technology-organizationenvironment framework to explain effect of ERP management to operational efficiency in the manufacturing industry. This study used questionnaires to collect data from companies in the manufacturing industry. A total of 285 companies responded to the questionnaires and structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the data. The results showed that four hypothetical relationships were supported, each of which differed in statistical coefficient, with the organizational factor having the highest coefficient. Therefore, the management of an ERP system based on the ERP lifecycle consisting of ERP adoption, ERP implementation, and ERP assimilation is driven by technological, organizational and environmental factors, and the management of the ERP system helps to create a competitive advantage and efficient performance of organizations in the manufacturing industry.
