Abstract
The ills of rape, kidnapping, trafficking, molestation etc. are gender neutral in the world today. In this paper we would like to propose a device that is an amalgamation of multiple peripherals and processes which when activated results in a wearable gadget that can help people in danger to intimate their loved ones and the appropriate authorities can come to their rescue. The device consists a switch, Raspberry pi, Arduino UNO, Raspberry pi Camera Module, Global Positioning System (GPS) module, pulse sensor, buzzer and a vibration motor. The whole architecture and setup work around Arduino and Raspberry pi. The sensors integrated with Arduino continuously read data and in case of any discrepancy from the predefined threshold sensor value, the information (GPS coordinates and photo/video) is sent to concerned authorities using Raspberry pi. The USP of this project is that it bypasses the manual interference at critical juncture which can make or break the case when the victim is in a dire situation. It is cheap, portable and user friendly.
