Abstract
Device-to-Device (D2D) based Vehicular communication (D2D-V) is the major facilitator of Vehicle-to-Everything communication. This particular User Equipment device can undergo in various modes of communication such as setting up an uninterrupted communication particularly with the infrastructure and facilities with the help of relay mode or it can even transmit data directly with various user equipment with or without infrastructure support. This integration of two mechanisms of Deviceto- device communication and Vehicle-to-Vehicle communication has several advantages of obtaining Real-time traffic updates, Accident warning/alerts, Reporting of traffic violations and acts as a navigator in foggy climate. The primary aim of this paper is to build a new routing protocol for the proposed D2D-V system and compare its performance metrics with the recently implemented protocol. In this paper, we have worked through various algorithms regarding the message handling ability as well as authentication of Road Side Units[RSU] and On-Board Units[OBU]. We have even extended our study to establish an identification pattern of Non-Registered Vehicles in the D2D-V model. The simulation results shown in this paper further verify the viability of the proposed model in terms of system parameters such as time delay, packet delivery ratio, data transfer accuracy, throughput, spectral efficiency
