Abstract

In this paper, a novel technique of five and nine level with a two number of stages switched diode and cascaded multilevel inverter is designed for the application of renewable energy as an input particularly in medium-voltage output configuration. By using this technique, it reduces the quantity of power semiconductor switches beside with its gate triggering circuits and reduces THD value of proposed technology with conventional technology. The spike elimination power semiconductor switch is introduced in the primary stage of the multi level inverter which is provided a circulating conduction for the reverse current and due to this effect; more amount spikes in amplitude of voltage spikes next to the support of the stair cased voltage output on fundamental multilevel inverter methods are detached. Furthermore, to determine the drawbacks, which are relevant to DC, source variations of MLI are connected for integration of renewable energy sources. For generating gating sequence of power semiconductor switches, Multicarrier along with a phase disposition SPWM method is applied to organize a two-stage cascaded switched-diode MLI. This novel technique of two-stage cascaded switched-diode MLI is implemented using MATLAB/SIMULINK software. At last, comparative analysis of proposed technology is carried out with conventional methods
