Abstract
For solving Optimal Power Flow (OPF) issues in a Transmission Line, a Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is used with Search Group Algorithm (SGA). UPFC is a FACTS device is connected in series with the transmission line. In this work an IEEE 30 bus system has been considered for optimal power flow analysis. Newton Raphson technique is used for solving nonlinear equation of the proposed model.
