WHY DEFENSIVE SECURITY SHOULD BE COMPULSORY SUBJECT TO INTERNET USERS

Cyber security refers to protection of a network, system and web application or a website from an attacker who tries to gain access unethically. There are two types of cyber security, offensive and defensive. Due to the increase in internet user's cyberattacks are also increasing. The growth in cyberspace led to an increase in vulnerabilities to all kinds of cyber attacks. This paper discusses increasing common cyber attacks and why defensive security should be a compulsory subject to every internet using individuals to safeguard the network or system being accessed with basic security measures and precautions. Cyber security is a very vast field one can possibly learn from not being in a cyber security background but one can know about the types of attacks, their consequences, basic precautions and security measures.
