Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship and gender difference in the study variables of family communication and self-esteem among young adults by using two hundred samples with a method of convenient sampling. Family communication scale (FCS) and Rosenberg's self-esteem Scale were used to assess the levels of family communication and self-esteem among participants. The study is concluded by saying that there is a significant relationship between family communication and self-esteem by using the Pearson's correlational analysis and then the t-test provides there is no significant gender difference in the study variables of family communication and self-esteem among young adults.
