ICT RELATED MANPOWER PROBLEMS IN COLLEGE LIBRARIES: A COMPARATIVE STUDY

Abstract
Information Communication Technology (ICT's) is applied in all fields, especially in the field of Library and Information Centre's is scabbard ample benefits from ICT's. Well-qualified, skilled and adequate number of Library professionals is a must to provide relevant and effective Information resources and services to users. This study focus on Manpower problem in two categories of College Libraries that is, Government and Aided First Grade College Libraries of Bangalore City; comparatively more than 50% of respondent libraries are lack in fund and infrastructure, the other are lack of trained and skilled staff, College Authorities as take interest to develop their libraries with providing funds, infrastructure, skilled staff and send staff to training regularly to update their knowledge about changes in ICTs.
