EXPORT PERCEPTIVE OF SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZED FIRM INFLUENCE BY FIRMS’ CHARACTERISTICS: A FIRM LEVEL STUDY OF PAKISTAN

Abstract
This study focused on firms' characteristics that can influence the exporter perceptive of a small and medium-size firm of Pakistan. To achieve the objective, the primary data obtained through interview questionnaire from small and medium-size firms export managers. Ordinary least square with dummy variables used to establish the empirical relationship. The empirical result found to have a significant positive impact on exporters' perceptive or behaviour with a change in firm characteristics such as the size of the firm, age of the firm, education level of firms' manager, foreign ownership of the firm and skilled labour. While no impact of firm manager age found on the exporter perceptive of the firm.
