Abstract

The development of international cooperation causes the increase in scientific investigation in the field of training in tourism, including guides-interpreters. Guide-interpreter as a specialist should be able to perform job tasks and resist the risks of their professional activity. In this regard, this study is relevant due to the growing demand for guide-interpreters for accompanying the process of international communication. The article is prepared on the basis of the following methods: theoretical review and analysis of domestic and foreign literature on the research problem, pedagogical observation and generalization of the experience of training guide-interpreters in specialized capital and regional centers for professional development. The authors suggest using their methodology to guide-interpreters' professional development. The methodology is based on the principals of mutual interaction and creative search. According to the results of the study, the authors consider that guide-interpreter training as operational competence development is effective, provided that the authors' model and methodology are implemented.
