Abstract
A review of the monograph [Linguistics of Information-Psychological War, 2016]. The considered research will attract specialists' attention and cause further discussions on political linguistics, its principles and methodology, its major fields and methods of linguistic analysis of political communication. We can assume that the main topic for a potential debate will be the authors' political position and the expedience of its open or disguised expression. In contrast to those studies, in which the author does not demonstrate political views of his own, but seeks to focus on the linguistic study of a political text, the linguists from Krasnoyarsk explicitly declare their beliefs and consider themselves to be warriors, who defend Russia, the Russian language, and Orthodoxy from foreign aggressors and the “fifth column” within the Russian society
