Abstract
Happiness ideas in Russian and Kyrguz poetry are studied. It is established that “Russian happiness” is an emotional state, conditioned first of all by well-being of the homeland. It is deserved by a selfless work for the common weal, by the struggle for sublime goals and is forestalled by sufferings, provoked by truth searching and attempts to restore justice. Such a happiness is given to the people who reject peace and well-being and is found only in process of its obtaining.
Meanwhile ”Kyrgyz happiness” is obtained in conditions of chaos and unpredictability and its subjects appreciate good moments of the life and feel happiness in any age. Happiness in conception of Kyrgyz ethnos is associated with human life, any kind of love and beauty of environment
