Abstract

The article examines the issues of international cooperation of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine to counter organized crime, its essence and principles. It has been established that organized crime remains one of the main threats to the national security of Ukraine. The author notes that effective counteraction to this phenomenon is important not only for solving the problems of the internal policy of our country, but also for implementing the policy of European integration. The author makes a conclusion that a number of scientific approaches regarding the concept of international cooperation in countering organized crime is concluded that its main significance lies in the interaction between specific law enforcement agencies, which is carried out mainly at the bilateral level, sometimes involving other parties. It was found that the principle of shared responsibility should be recognized as the key principle of organizing the fight against organized crime, in which reducing the threat posed by this phenomenon is considered as the common and collective responsibility of all countries of the world, which requires the development of a common strategy that should be implemented at the global level. It is concluded that the issues of international cooperation in combating crime should be included among the basic directions of the implementation of the state's foreign policy.
