Abstract
This article presents the importance of adopting IPv6 in home networks, industry, cities and smart farms, in this way it is possible to interconnect all kinds of devices and achieve intelligent communication, currently, to date, the Adoption of this important protocol is very low in Latin America, due to this the implementation of new protocols and security standards will be strongly delayed due to ignorance and the importance it plays in the role of the development of wired and wireless networks in the environment of ICT and the development of software applications tailored to people's needs. In the field of geographic information systems (GIS), they are a computational tool, used in various applications; communication systems or low consumption wireless networks are no exception, since they digitally organize the different types of terrain, their elevations, distribution and height of buildings in smart cities and other characteristics, making it ideal in the calculation of point-to-point links. point or broadcast
