COMPETITIVENESS OF AGRARIAN ENTERPRISES IN THE WORLD MARKET: SITUATION AND PROSPECTS

Abstract
The article systematizes scientific approaches to assessing the competitiveness of agricultural sector entities in the world market. Three approaches of this category have been identified and characterized, in particular: local approaches to the analysis by certain evaluation factors (indicators) of development (allows to study the status of competitive positions of market participants according to certain significant indicators (in terms of financial-economic, economic or organizationaleconomic status)); an approach that involves the analysis of economic and market valuation indicators (an approach related to the definition of a comprehensive competitiveness indicator, which is determined on the basis of the calculation of the integral (or arithmetic) indicator formed on the basis of the assessment of economic and market parameters of functioning of agricultural enterprises in the agricultural sector; analysis approach related to the definition of competitiveness indicators formulated on the basis of the choice of those used in different matrix methods (within this approach can be used as a set of indicators without reducing them to a single indicator, and a set of indicators that are evaluated by points and are summarized). On the basis of the generalization of scientific approaches, the development of a universal authorial approach in this area, which is formulated in view of the coverage of economic, technical, economic and market sphere. In accordance with the terms of the author's methodology, the competitiveness of large Ukrainian sunflower oil refined producers and exporters was analyzed. According to the estimation, the state of competitive position of the studied agricultural enterprises in the world markets is established. It is proved that not sufficiently high level of competitiveness of the two enterprises from the studied depends to a large extent on the low efficiency of production. It is concluded that further research prospects may lie in the plane of finding and predicting ways to increase production efficiency, which determines the growth of competitiveness in international markets.
