THE ESSENCE OF ENTERPRISES’ INNOVATIVE CAPACITY, ITS TYPES, AND FACTORS OF FORMATION

Abstract
Planning of innovative activity of enterprises should be based on preliminary identification and evaluation of their specific characteristics, among which an important place is occupied by innovative capacity. In this work, the essence of the enterprise's innovative capacity was established. Under this property of the enterprise, it is proposed to understand its ability to obtain the maximum possible value of financial and economic indicators of business activity due to the introduction of innovations developed both in-house and attracted from outside under certain conditions of the external environment in which this enterprise will be located. The grouping of the types of enterprises' innovation capacity was formed according to the following criteria: the point in time at which occurs the determination of innovative capacity value (existing, future); depending on the innovations implemented in the enterprise (general, partial); depending on the implementation of innovative capacity at the enterprise (implemented, unimplemented); depending on the method of formation (internal, external, combined); the period of time during which the innovative capacity is formed (short, medium, long term); depending on the types of economic and financial results of enterprises' business activities, the maximization of which will occur in the implementation of innovative capacity; depending on the measurement units of economic and financial results of enterprises' business activities, the maximization of which will occur in the implementation of innovative capacity (natural, value, relative); on the possibility of raising the level of competition of the enterprise. A grouping of formation factors of enterprises' innovative capacity was also conducted according to the following criteria: the location of the relevant factors; the possibility of controlling the corresponding factors; the nature of influence on the formation of enterprise's innovative capacity; the ability to change within a certain period; by way of influence on the value of the innovative capacity of the enterprise; the method of factors' formation; the method of estimation of indexes characterizing the relevant factors; in terms of impact; duration of impact.
