Abstract
The policies of employment generation and human resource development depend mainly on the nature of the economy and sources of income generation. Wages are the main sources of income. In Pakistan, almost more than half of the population consists of the females. Women work participation and earnings activities are the top priority issues. The present study is an attempt to address women wage determination issues. Actually, it is a micro level study that aims on the determination of women wages in informal sector of the district Sheikhupura, Pakistan. In this study, the most famous Mincerian earning function is not only estimated in its exact but also in its extended form by incorporating other socio-economic factors along with human capital factors.
