NAMIK KEMAL’İN MEKTUPLARINA DAİR BAZI MÜLAHÂZALAR-SOME CONSIDERATIONS ON NAMIK KEMAL'S LETTERS

Tanzimat Fermanının ilan edilmesinden sonra; dönem içerisindeki aydınların, sanat ve edebiyatta Batıyı örnek almasıyla birlikte birçok farklı tür gibi mektup da Türk edebiyatında yerini almıştır. Tanzimat'tan sonra tür olarak mektubun gelişmesinde şair ve yazarların sürgün edilmesinin rolü küçümsenmeyecek ehemmiyettedir. Bu isimlerden biri de şüphesiz ki Namık Kemal'dir. Kemal; Avrupa, Magosa, Midilli, Sakız ve Rodos gibi çeşitli yerlerden arkadaşlarına, ailesine ve siyasilere çok sayıda mektup göndermiştir. Dili, üslubu ve içeriği düşünüldüğünde, Türk edebiyatında örneği görülmemiş ve alışılmışın dışında olan bu mektuplar, dönemi içerisinde; edebî, siyasi ve içtimai bir mahiyette değerlendirilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmanın öncelikle giriş kısmında mektup türü hakkında kısa bir şekilde bilgi verilecektir. Daha sonra Namık Kemal'in türe verdiği önem/katkı üzerinde durularak Kemal'in hususi mektupları; üslup ve içerik bakımından örnekler verilerek incelenecektir. After the announcement of the Tanzimat Edict; as the intellectuals of the period took the West as an example in art and literature, letter writing like many different genres took its place in Turkish literature. The fact that the poets and writers had been exiled undoubtedly played a role in the development of letter writing as a genre after the Tanzimat. One of these names is undoubtedly Namık Kemal. Ripeness; he sent many letters to his friends, family and politicians from various places such as Europe, Famagusta, Lesbos, Chios and Rhodes. Considering their language, style and content, these letters, which are unprecedented in Turkish literature and are unusual. They are evaluated from a literary, political and social perspective. In this respect, first of all, brief information about the type of letter will be given in the introduction part of the study. Then Kemal's private letters, emphasizing the importance/contribution of Namık Kemal to the genre will be revealed. They will be examined by giving examples in terms of style and content.
