Osmanlı Devleti'nin egemenliğine Yavuz Sultan Selim döneminde giren Beyrut'un 1888'de vilayet olarak yapılandırılmasıyla birlikte, vilayet adına bir gazete çıkarılması zorunlu olmuştur. Bu sebeple Beyrut Vilayet Gazetesi 22 Aralık 1888'de yayın hayatına başlamıştır. Gazete, Beyrut vilayet matbaasında basılmıştır. Gazetede, Beyrut vilayet matbaası Nazırı Mektubi başkanlığına bağlı, müdür ve muharrir, iki adet Arabî mütercim, muhasebe memuru, ser-müretteb ile üç müretteb ve makineci, mevzi memuru ve mürekkepçi olmak üzere toplam 11 kişi görev yapmıştır. Zamanla bu görevlilere litografya memuru ve iki salname memuru da eklenerek matbaada çalışanların sayısı 14 olmuştur. Bu gazete, Osmanlı Devleti'nin son dönemlerine kadar yayın hayatını sürdürmüştür. Tirajı belli olmayan gazete, Arapça ve Türkçe olarak basılmıştır. Haftada bir çıkarılan gazete toplamda sekiz sayfa olup, gazetenin dört sayfası Arapça, dört sayfası da Türkçe olarak yayınlanmıştır. With the restructuring of Beirut as a province in 1888, which came under the rule of the Ottoman Empire during the reign of Yavuz Sultan Selim, it became necessary to publish a newspaper on behalf of the province. For this reason, Beirut Vilayet Newspaper started its publication life on December 22, 1888. This newspaper was published in the Beirut provincial printing house. A total of 11 people, including directors and writers, two Arabian translators, accounting officers, crew members, and three crew members and mechanics, position clerks and inking workers, under the Presidency of the Beirut provincial printing house ministerial letter. Over time, lithographers and two salname officers were added to these officials and the number of people working in the printing house reached 14. This newspaper continued its publication life until the last period of the Ottoman Empire. The newspaper, whose circulation is unknown, has been published in Arabic and Turkish. Published once a week, the newspaper has a total of eight pages, four pages of in Arabic and four pages in Turkish.
