Abstract
In order to strengthen a democratic system, the need is to make way for an encumbrance free, unhindered participation process, irrespective of gender bias. There is a lack of homogeneity in the context of democratic systems across the globe. There is a trend towards increased political participation of men when compared to women, in democratic states.
