Abstract
India is a densely populated country with a rich diversified social, economic and geographic location. Population has a major impact on the type and level of education its citizens undertake. Globally, the use of ICT in education is recommended for an impactful teaching-learning irrespective of the type and level of education. This paper critically assesses adoption of ICT tools for online education by the teachers during COVID-19 pandemic. It recorded useful insights of teachers' learning attitude towards ICT tools for video chatting, video recording, editing and assessment of learners. It proposes various measures for improving online teaching-learning in higher education. It also identifies problems and solutions related to network connectivity, students' performance in quizzes and teachers' efforts in learning to use computing technologies for education.
