This review focuses on ethnomedicinal uses, cultivation, constituents, and pharmacological potentials and also shows macro-micro characteristics for authentication of the plant. This plant is used in enormous quantities by the people so the conservationists and even farmers should cultivate it to fulfill the requirement of not only the public but also pharmaceutical industries.
