CLASSIFICATION OF PHOTOGRAPHS BASED ON FACE RECOGNITION

Face recognition has become a fundamental step for many image processing applications. Whenever the user has to access the pictures of any particular person, the user has to go through the entire database to find the required pictures. This proposed work helps in solving this problem by classifying photographs based on faces present in the picture and also helps the user find all pictures of any particular person. Based on the Eigen face approach, face recognition in the image can be made and the photographs are then classified into different groups. Once eigenvector is obtained, eigenvectors are compared and the faces present in the picture are classified using knearest neighbour algorithm for face pattern recognition
