OPERATIONAL CHALLENGES AND SUCCESS FACTORS BEHIND WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN HYDERABAD CITY, TELANGANA STATE, INDIA

Abstract
In recent times, women's entrepreneurship has become important for the creation of new jobs and contributions to the economic and social growth of society. The main aim of the research paper is to find the operational challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in Hyderabad, Telangana state, India. Additionally, this research paper identifies the major determinants contributing to a female's decision to be an entrepreneur. In this research paper, a total of 300 women entrepreneurs are selected using a random sampling approach to investigate the economic performance in smallscale industries. Here, the primary data is collected from a questionnaire that includes information such as a source of finance, incentives and tariff availed, background variable, capital investment, concessions, rebate, use of labour, product mix, marketing, consumption of raw materials, plans, perception, etc. The research findings show that the women entrepreneurs in Hyderabad face operational challenges such as marketing of products/services, multiple levies/taxes, family problems, gender inequality, infrastructure, finance, lack of skilled employees, and source of raw materials. So, the government should take the necessary steps to address the operational challenges faced by female entrepreneurs in the informal sector.
