Abstract
Industry plays a key role in the formation and development of the modern economic system of the state. Achieving the priority goals of social and economic development aimed at increasing the level of competitiveness, the creation of high-tech, structurally balancedindustrial production is impossible without the formation of a state industrial policy. The article analyzed main features influencing the formation of the state’s industrial policy under modern conditions; reviewed the approaches to industrial production development; identified the key factors influencing the formation of a competitive industrial policy.
