The article developed a comprehensive mechanism of forming a development strategy for industrial enterprises in the transition to knowledge economy, which is a system of methods and procedures of forming a strategy supported by scientific, methodological, informational and organizational framework. The proposed management mechanism is aimedat achieving the competitive advantages of industrial enterprises in the modern business environment by including knowledge in the value chain of their products.
