Abstract
The article summarizes the modern foreign experience in performing Internet representation in the information and communication space using the case of the Library of Congress. The study found that libraries need to focus on an interactive media environment using a variety of communication channels. Prospects for the development of Internet representation in the information and communication space are identified. Today, one of the library effective communication channels could be a portal that fills the interactive space with information that quickly circulates through the information flows of the network.The most important in presenting the Library of Congress on the portal is the presentation of the library products to enable users to get a sense of the Library of Congress, the presentation covers the history of the library, demonstrates its talented staff, and promotes the use of resources of the world's largest library. The Library of Congress pays special attention to the issue of copyright. On the library portal one can find a variety of materials on copyright, in particular: the use of information from the library portal; privacy policies of users of the portal and collections; library websites, services and applications; commenting and publishing policies, etc. Importantly, the library offers access to the National Library Service for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NLS) website, which helps fulfill the mission of providing free Braille library services and books for people with temporary or permanent disabilities. low vision, blindness or disability.
