F.D. NEFEDOV IS THE RESEARCHER OF THE UPPER VOLGA AND ZAVOLZHYE REGION

The article is devoted to activities of the writer-populist F. D. Nefedov for studying and collecting of folklore and ethnography of the upper Volga population in the 70s of the XIX century. For the first time in modern science the writer's sketch "Ethnographic supervision on the way along Volga and its inflows", published in "Works of ethnographic department of Society of enthusiasts of natural sciences, anthropology and ethnography" is analytically considered. The sketch materials allow to shed light on the Nefedov-researcher position, to open specifics of the ethnographic views of the author, allow to elucidate sources of folklore inclusions in the writer's fiction.
